We have been assigned to analysis the video 'What I Go To School For' by Busted.
(put music video)
The video includes lots of long takes which allows the viewer to see what is happening which in this case is set in a school and the main characters who are the band members are dressed in uniforms which has a connotation of young people which would relate to there target audience. They use many close ups to show expression of the characters. The also use mid shots to allow you to see more action and long shots to see further into the scene. They use a high angle for when Matt is in the tree to reforce the point of view and then a low angle of when he is looking down through the window. This is a combination of both narrative and performance based as they use guitars and the visuals illistrate the song lyrics to renforce the lyrics further.

Lip Syncing Video
Plain White T's - Hey There Delilah
We decided to do two songs of different genres to see how different they could be to lip sync. Both were very easy to do and we enjoyed doing this project.
Rihanna - California King Bed
Evaluation of Lip Syncing video.
I felt that looking back on these lip syncing videos we could of put more expression in our faces and exaggerated our lip movement so it looks more realistic.

DigiPak
How did you plan your DigiPak?
We explored many other examples of digi-paks and what was included in the digi-pak such as barcodes and the DVD logo then went out and took photos for the album. We then used natural lighting and location.
How did you make your digi-pak right for the genre of music of your artist/band?
I wanted to reflect the carefree aspect the band thought my digi-pak.
How did the digi-pak reflect the styleof the artist/band?
The music of the Plain White T's was very laid back and natural which i wanted to get across in the photo covers.
What did you learn about using technology?
I was quite confident when using Photoshop as i'd had experience on using it because hand.
I used a new guide to get the most realistic verison of a to create the spin of the digi-pak. I added a blue layer over the original photo to give off a more mysterious look to the digipak and incorperated the border around the tracklist similiar to the original Plain White T's album.
How did you work as a member of a team?
I worked independently on this.
What aspect of your digi-pak were you particularly pleased with?
I like the way i edited the photo and the colours of the picture.
What would you do differently next time?
I would plan what in particular i wanted to include in my digi-pak such as the image itself and maybe set up a composition properly.

Practical Portfolio - Reflecting on practice
1. How do you think you have improved your pratical skills during your first year of study media?
I think doing our crime film has really helped me understand how the camera works and how clips are editing through Final Cut and how sounds are made using Garage Band. I had little knowledge of both of these softwares before and now know how to use these to an intermediate standard.
2. What are the lessons you have learnt from your AS crime production? Think about the things you could have done differently.
I feel that doing different pratical tasks has made me learn different ways of editing and which shots are effective in the way we are trying to percive or the message we want to give.

Hey There Deliah - Plain White T's lyrics
Hey there Delilah
What's it like in New York City?
I'm a thousand miles away
But girl, tonight you look so pretty
Yes you do
Times Square can't shine as bright as you
I swear it's true
Hey there Delilah
Don't you worry about the distance
I'm right there if you get lonely
Give this song another listen
Close your eyes
Listen to my voice, it's my disguise
I'm by your side
Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me
What you do to me
Hey there Delilah
I know times are getting hard
But just believe me, girl
Someday I'll pay the bills with this guitar
We'll have it good
We'll have the life we knew we would
My word is good
Hey there Delilah
I've got so much left to say
If every simple song I wrote to you
Would take your breath away
I'd write it all
Even more in love with me you'd fall
We'd have it all
Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me
A thousand miles seems pretty far
But they've got planes and trains and cars
I'd walk to you if I had no other way
Our friends would all make fun of us
and we'll just laugh along because we know
That none of them have felt this way
Delilah I can promise you
That by the time we get through
The world will never ever be the same
And you're to blame
Hey there Delilah
You be good and don't you miss me
Two more years and you'll be done with school
And I'll be making history like I do
You'll know it's all because of you
We can do whatever we want to
Hey there Delilah here's to you
This one's for you
Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me
What you do to me.

Lip Syncing
We've been assigned a challenge to do a lip syncing exercise to practice and explore this technique for our final product should we use it. We have decided to choose 'Hey There Delilah' By Plain White T's as this song is a very simple long that we all know. Our group consists of Rebecca and myself.
